Cramer Has Abandoned Farmers

When it comes to the trade war, Kevin Cramer is unrealistic. He does not like trade wars but supports the Presidents actions. He has been critical of farmers objections, calling their concerns "hysteria."

Kevin assured North Dakotans that there would be a quick, easy solution and wed all be better off for it. He looked farmers in the eyes and told them that everything would be okay, that there was a plan and that we'd have good news before summer was over. If part of the plan was an increase in EU purchases, Kevin should know that transportation limits ND beans moving to that market.

Summer is over, and there are still no orders for soybeans. The beans can't sit in the field. But the trade war isnt winding down. In fact, it's growing. This week, tariffs on an additional $200 billion in imports were added.

Prices are depressed, bringing down profits. Operating loans will be coming due soon. Since soybeans are not being purchased, they have to be stored adding other risks and complications of selling what is stored. No ifs, ands or buts about it I fear families will lose their farms because of this trade war.
