Woman, 88, who died on Fargo’s Main Avenue identified

 

FARGO — Authorities have released the identity of a motorist who died after being involved in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday, Nov. 7, on Main Avenue, only blocks from downtown Fargo.

Lois Koehler Fritz, 88, was taken to the hospital after police responded the crash at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, Fargo police said in a news release.

Fritz was later pronounced dead, police said, and no autopsy has been ordered.

It appeared that a westbound sedan rear-ended a westbound SUV on Main Avenue. Police said a third vehicle was involved and that investigators don't yet know what caused the crash.
